EVENTS: Manggahan Festivals In Guimaras | Eat All You Can on [May 11,15 & 22]

GUIMARAS - [gi-ma-ras] (Hiligaynon) Kapuoran sang Guimaras in Filipino Lalawigan ng Guimaras. Is an island province in the Philippines. Located in the region of  Western Visayas. The province suited of Panay Gulf, between Panay and Negros.

DID YOU KNOW THAT: The province of Guimaras celebrating their Manggahan Festival this May 11,15 & 22, 2017. They produced the sweetest mango I have eaten in my entire life and among the people who have experienced also. (Diba matam-is siya)

The Provincial Capitol of Guimaras invited you all to experience the "Eat All You Can"this coming May 11,15 & 22 2017 at the Provincial Capitol Grounds in Guimaras San Miguel Jordan Guimaras. For this year The Mango Eat All You Can shall inlude ripe and green mangoes with Bagoong.

Here's the mechanics:

1. Registration fee is PHP110.00
2. Only 30 minutes is allocated per participants
3. For ripe mangoes eating shall be by bare hands. If the participants opts to use knife, spoon etc as an aid in eating, he/she should provide one for himself/herself.
4. For the green mangoes with Bagoong , knives will be provided
5. A participant can have his/her additional serving by raising his/her hand.
6. No taking out of unconsumed mango.

Ati-Atihan Festivals 2017 Schedule in Kalibo Aklan

This is a week-long celebration in honor of the Sto. Niño. It is the ultimate jubilating, titillating, stimulating, riotous and frenetic aboriginal street dancing to the early primitive tempo and pulse of drums, participated in by different tribes in their full battle regalia as they crowd the principal streets of Kalibo rejoicing breathlessly to their religious vows.

LECHON PARADE FESTIVAL

26th April (Numancia Aklan)

The annual Lechon (roasted pig). Parade isa contest among the barangays and lechonan operators in Numancia - home of the most "mouthwatering" and best in Aklan. Come and see for yourself lechon entries striking in different poses and costumes.

FIESTA DE OBREROS FESTIVAL

1st of May (Malay Aklan)

This festivity pays tribute to the Malaynon workers and St. Joseph the Worker.Malay's Patron Saint. The highlight is street dancing dancing and merry making participated by the labor sector, the barangays and the municipal government.

The event also features PASADA,a showdown of dance presentations depicting the municipality's livelihood and source of income of its people.

BARIW FESTIVAL 

May 14 (Nabas Aklan)

A unique festival showcasing the skills of every Nabasnon in weaving bags, mats and hats made of bariw leaves the prospering livelihood in the municipality. It is highlighted by the dance performance of local talent and ingenuity to the beat of the drums and indigenous rhythm.

BUGNA IT TANGALAN FESTIVAL

May 15- 16 (Tangalan, Aklan)

A festival showcasing the different locally produced products and eco-tourism destination of Tangalan like the marine sanctuary and coral garden. Afga point, Campo Verde, Jawili Falls, Bughawi beach, and reforestoration project.

BAYANGAN FESTIVAL

May 13-14 (Lezo Aklan)

Bayangan is  a local dialect meaning potter's wheel which is used to mold clay to create various pottery products, Clay pottery is an industry that the town of Lezo is famous for. The festival is celebrated in line with foundation day of the municipality.

TINUOM NI AEWAG FESTIVAL

July 29 (Madalag, Aklan)
The youngest festival in Aklan showcasing the simple nature and identity of the Magdalagnons. The Local word "tinuom" pertains to a dish cooked in a unique way discovered by early townfolks during the time of Datu Aewag. Typhically the main ingredient is native chicken wrapped in banana leaves tied into a pouch and slowly cooked on chaircoal until it becomes a very flavorful dish. The festival is also celebrated in commemoration of the seperation of Madalag from Libacao.

ENCHANTING BALETE

October 23-24 (Balete Aklan)
Balete's own festival highlighting the culture, tradition and way of life of Baleten-ons.

PASCUA SA MALINAO FESTIVAL

December 19 (Malinao, Aklan)
The town of Malinao unique way of celebrating Christmas festivities, with different activities lined up to the add color to the occasion such as the Daigon (Christmas Carol) contest. Paroe (Lantern) Parade and contest and the Kahayag it Banwa (Lighting of Christmas lantern.
